Some members of the Italian Sibling Group are actively present in organisations related to Down Syndrome and other disabilities.
Massimo Arduini is in the Board of the Rome Section of AIPD Carla Ferrazzoli, Federico Girelli (ex vice-president of AIPD), and Giulio Iraci are in the Council of the Fondazione
Italiana Verso il Futuro Onlus;
Carla Ferrazzoli and Giulio Iraci are in the Executive Boards of the same organisation.
Alessandro Gwis was in the Board of the Rome Section of AIPD from 2003 to 2006.
and Alessandro Capriccioli was in the Rome Section of AIPD as President of the Auditors' Council from 2003 to 2006.
Carla Fermariello was in the National Board of the AIPD Italian Down’s Syndrome Association from 2001 to 2004.
The Italian Sibling Group collaborates to the "National Multidisciplinary Guidelines for the Integrated Assistance to the People with Down Syndrome and their Families", which are promoted and supervised by the Italian Healthcare Institute.
